This man from Nigeria was arrested after living illegally in Switzerland for a year. He is awaiting deportation back to his home country.

The Espace Media prize for press photography will be awarded for the 19th time in 2009.
The National Museum Zurich, as partner of Swiss Press Photo, will be exhibiting the best press photographs of the year from 11 December 2009 to 7 March 2010. The exhibition will then move to the Forum of Swiss History Schwyz, where it will be on show from 20 March to 18 April 2010.

Press photographers and the Swiss local press will be submitting works published in the country’s print media between September 2008 and August this year for examination by an expert jury.
The exhibition includes images in a number of categories: current events, everyday and environment, portrait, art and culture, sport, and foreign. It will feature the best press photographs from competition participants as well as the winners in each Swiss Press category.
